This week our winter sports team represented our School at the Bentleigh District Finals Day across four sports.

All of our teams played with great passion, commitment and most importantly sportsmanship. The day was a roaring success with fantastic results across the board.

Our Netball teams achieved the clean sweep with all three teams winning their respective Finals and being crowned Bentleigh Premiers for 2023. The Girls beat St Pauls, Mixed A won a nailbiter over St Peters and the Mixed B team beat Oakleigh South.

The Soccer Boys team after a disappointing finish to the game against Oakleigh South bounced back to cruise to victory over St Peters to win the Consolation Final and finish third.

The Footy gods were in a strange mood when after a crushing first up loss to eventual winners St Peters by 99-18 the team turned in a flawless game against St Peters to win the Consolation Final 64-8 and finish a well-deserved third in the District.

The Tennis Boys team fought really hard and played with great tenacity to eventually finish Third.

This year marked one of Murrumbeena Primary Schools biggest contingents to represent us at Bentleigh District and to achieve three Premiers and three Third Place finishes is an amazing feat by our players. Many thanks to all of our coaches also who gave up their time to take trainings and games and the results justified the effort put in.

Well done Murrumbeena Primary School.
