Improving your Mental Health

5 tips to improve mental health

  • Take time in your day to do things that bring you joy; sport, art, reading, music, whatever works for you!
  • Express gratitude; take time each day to reflect on 3 things you’re grateful for.
  • Think about nutrition; Eat a balanced diet, drink water, and limit caffeine intake.
  • Getting enough sleep; adolescents need 8-10 hours every night in order to function at their full capacity during the day.
  • Healthy communication; communicate with your support people about what’s helpful and unhelpful for you. Reach out to friends, family members or a trusted adult if you need help with something.
