Mrs Kate Mowat

We have a BIG term coming up in the Library.

Premiers' Reading Challenge

Our Library Leaders reminded everyone to read and log over the holidays.  We are so pleased to see this happened and our current total is.......(drum roll please)

6,160 BOOKS

Next Assembly we will tell you which classes are in the lead. We will also announce the top 10 students.  Ask Mrs Mowat if you need your login – it is definitely not too late to start your Premiers’ Reading Challenge.  The winning class will receive a Book Club voucher to spend on classroom books – so teachers, log your classroom reading!

In week 7 we have Book Week! The theme is READ, GROW, INSPIRE.

We will be having our book character dress up parade on Monday 21 August at 9.15am so start thinking about what Book Character you might come as!  Why not team up with friends and come as a whole book!

Foundation students get to dress up as their favorite Fairytale Character.

Our library will turn into a giant Book Shop again and there will be authors visiting and fun incursions too.

We will also be announcing the LPPS Authors Big Write Competition for you to get involved in soon…..this will involve prizes and winners will be drawn at our Book Parade…..will you be a winning LPPS Author? More details to come….

Library Website

library.langwarrinparkps.vic.edu.au is our Library search website listing every single book on our shelves along with Clickview videos.  Instructions on how to log your child into this page are located on the home page, however families can browse without a login too.  In this space you can view your child/ren's current loans, loan history, write book reviews, reserve books, and create a reading list.  In the Quicklists tab is a Premiers' Reading Challenge tab which lists all the Challenge books in our library.  Have a look it's lots of fun!
