Australian Mathematics Competition 2023

The Australian Mathematics Competition (AMC) will be held this week on Wednesday 2nd to Friday 4th August . The competition runs over the three days to accommodate for the increasing number of students at St Simon’s who wish to compete! We set a new school record with 169 students who entered the competition last year, we are aiming to beat this record! 

It’s open to all Grade 3 to Grade 6 students to enter the competition. Unfortunately this year the Grade 5 students won’t be able to enter the competition as they will be on Grade 5 camp. The Australian Mathematics Competition is designed to be a fun event to promote Mathematics as well as giving students external recognition of their achievements. Later on in the week, there will be a form on Operoo for families to complete if they wish their child to participate.
