Student Attendance
Student Testimonial about Attendance at Hampton Park Secondary College
Leighton - Year 10 Freeman House- 100% Attendance 2023
Coming to school every day is important for students as it lays the foundation for their academic success and personal growth.
Personally, going to school every day gives me the flexibility to do extracurricular activities outside of school freely and I’m able to meet up with friends regularly instead of having to do redemption either during school holidays or after school.
By being at school, I've had the chance to actively engage in lessons, participate in group activities, and ask questions, which enhances my understanding of the subjects being taught; and with having consistent attendance it has helped me build a sense of discipline, responsibility, and time management skills, as it instils the habit of being punctual and reliable.
I believe that students should attend school regularly as it creates a routine that helps students develop good study habits and organizational skills and sets them up for future success in higher education and professional endeavours.
Some things that help me go to school every day is waking up early and having a set routine in the morning which can vary from person to person, getting a decent amount of sleep, and knowing that I have people at school whom I can go to if any problems arise.
My aspiration for when I finish school is to become a lawyer or to explore the world, learning new and different cultures along the way.
Overall, coming to school every day is crucial for students' educational journey, as it maximises their learning potential, fosters personal and social development, and sets them on a path to a successful and fulfilling future.
