This week I communicated with families to acknowledge those young men who had been formally recognised by their teachers. Those students that exemplify the Virgilian Way in the form of;
It is important to highlight that the actions and positive approach of these young men which does not go unnoticed. At the conclusion of exams my aim is to meet with these young men and celebrate their positive contributions further.
Of particular note, I would like to highlight the positive and hardworking mentality of Kydan Cartledge, Year 11. On the Student Free Day on Friday 9 June still decided to attend his hospitality course at Mackillop Catholic College. Exciting developments are underway for hospitality on site at St Virgil's and any changes will be communicated!
This week our Year 10 Cohort have commenced their examination schedule. I would like to formally commend our Year 10 group for their positive start. Early finishes to support an adult like study arrangements has received positive feedback from our young men in terms of their preparation. It is also an experience in which the younger year levels get to experience from afar. It is a timely reminder about the importance of each and every lesson. To work to timelines and to seek clarification when needed. We all want our students to take accountability for their learning journey, to be invested and willing to push themselves and improve.
The consultation process has begun within the data gathering phase of our uniform review. Our student leaders across Years 7 to 10 have been the first to provide insight into their thoughts and views around our uniform. It is important to note that our data and feedback is centred around;
