Deputy Principal Update

A Big Thank You.....
I cannot believe how quickly the past three years have gone and that my time at St Luke's is almost over. There are so many people to thank; to David and the amazzzzing staff for being just the best group of people to work with, to all the wonderful families who were so welcoming and supportive during my time here but most importantly to the beautiful students of St Luke's who made coming to work a pleasure each day (well most days lol). Each smile, the greetings each morning, the conversations in the yard, the questions and learnings in the classroom all made it so easy to want to come to school every day. I will treasure the memories I have made at St Luke's and leave knowing that the school and your children are in such good hands. I wish Tony (Mr Mac) all the best as he moves into the role of Deputy Principal. He is an absolute asset to St Luke's.
Book Fair
A huge thank you to all the students and families who supported the Book Fair this year. In just three short days the school sold over $3500 worth of books. The school will receive 'points' from Book Club which can be redeemed to purchase any books, equipment or teacher resources next year.
Sending our Best Wishes
We send our thoughts and prayers to all our school community who have been affected by the recent covid outbreak. We are thinking of you at this challenging time.
Library Books Return
With the very abrupt finish to the school year many of our students were unable to return library books. If you have any at home please put them in your child's school bag now and return them at the start of next year.
Secondhand Books Welcomed
During our lockdown times it was a perfect opportunity to have a little declutter at home. If you have any books that your children have grown out of, or no longer read, the school is always looking for extra books to fill the classroom libraries. These books can be left at the office.
ICAS
Congratulations to all the students who participated in the ICAS tests that took place earlier this term. It was a fantastic effort to complete these.
Congratulations on the following results. Students will receive their certificates at the first assembly next year.

Foundation Calendar
Somehow, through COVID and lockdowns we still managed to complete the Foundation calendar and get it to the printers to be ready for families before Christmas. Copies are available at the office to purchase for $10. They make a great little gift for grandparents and family members. It was so difficult to choose which photos to put in the calendar as every shot was great. Please enjoy some of the other photos that were taken as part of this activity that the children just loved. What a wonderful memory of their first year of school.
May you all have a wonderful holiday, spent with family and friends.
Thank you for letting me be a part of your child's education, it's truly been wonderful.
Please take care, stay safe and well.
You are all forever in my heart,
Maree :)
