KYDS Fundraiser

Since 2005, KYDS has provided free & confidential counselling support for young people in our community when they need it, for as long as they need it, in a way that works for them. 

Last year alone, KYDS provided more than 6000 counselling sessions to young people. However, our resources are stretched. Without urgent help, 55 young people currently on our waiting list will be waiting 3-4 months for 1:1 support at KYDS. We will have to turn away most of the 30-45 new referrals we continually receive each month. 

During November 2021, KYDS will be our Loud & Clear fundraiser by offering a series of free online mental health webinars for parents, caregivers & students, and raising funds to pay for an additional counsellor to ensure young people in our community can access mental health support without having to wait. 

Turramurra and Lindfield Community Bank is offering to match every donation dollar-for-dollar up to $75,000 – enough to employ a full-time counsellor for one year and offer 900 more free sessions to at least 50 more vulnerable people & families.
