Principal's Message
Dear Parents and Carers,
In 1997, Governor-General Sir William Deane issued a proclamation formally declaring 11 November to be Remembrance Day, urging all Australians to observe one minute silence at 11.00am on 11 November each year, to remember those who died or suffered for Australia's cause in all wars and armed conflicts.
Today, St Joseph's students and staff pause to pray and remember all of the men and women of the Australian Defence Force who have made the ultimate sacrifice.
Lest we forget
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.
St Joseph, pray for us.
