Hello from your new committee!

Courtney, Melody, Melissa, Tash and myself (Kirei) are so excited to officially introduce ourselves.

We know we have huge shoes to follow in but we look forward to bringing you all lots of fun and exciting events this year.

We cannot wait to get stuck in, and we hope you all enjoy getting to know us a bit better in the coming weeks and months. We are always on the lookout for other enthusiastic, like minded parent and friends to join us and help out so if this sounds like you, make yourself known to one of us and we would love to welcome you on board.

What a huge success our first event for 2022 was! Pancake day saw huge smiles, laughter and excited chatter….and that was just from our parent volunteers!

It was so wonderful to be back in the school doing what we love most, making our kids happy.  Almost 500 pancakes were flipped (enough of course for our wonderful teaching staff) and as always none of this could be possible without our fabulous volunteers!

We were thrilled today to be able to hold our first afternoon tea for 2022.

Thank you to all of you that came along for a cuppa and a chat and we hope to see many more new and old faces next time!

The second hand uniform shop is also open at these times and it is a great opportunity to purchase uniforms at the bargain price of $5 an item. Please remember that it is cash only.

Most importantly, remember that all proceeds go back into helping run FREE events for the students such as pancake day and the twilight sport student sausages!

One of our favorite events, the annual Twilight Sports Carnival is coming around quickly! Make sure that Thursday the 10th of March is locked in the calendar because it is an event not to be missed. We will be providing a FREE sausage to all students so please complete the Operoo form that went out this week to ensure that your child doesn’t miss out. We will also be selling sausages, cold drinks and icy poles to family and friends and are on the lookout for some parent helpers!

If you are vaccinated and can provide a certificate, and can cook a mean BBQ, please provide your details on the Operoo form and we will contact you to put you on the roster.

*Please note that students can only have an icy pole at the CONCLUSION of the event.

Icy poles are for sale each Friday at first lunch for 50c. A great little treat to celebrate the end of the week!

Keep an eye out for Sushi Day details next week on Operoo!

We are on the hunt (lol get it?) for Easter raffle donations! Please leave them at the office and remember that the more donations, the more prizes and the more kids leaving school on sugar highs!

And last but definitely not least…..get excited for details on our most FUN and MESSY event to round out Term 1!!

Think coloured chalk…. white t-shirts and a day that makes all ages laugh and scream with delight…..can you guess what it is?
