Staff Conference

Last week the staff of St Michael's participated in the final two days of the Berry Street Educational Model. 

The focus over the two days was Engagement, Stamina, and Character. The days were a blend of theory and practical tools we will use in classrooms to foster sustained engagement, growth mindsets, and character strengths. 

We took a deep dive into further understanding emotional intelligence, resilience, flow, positive emotions, cultivating wonder, hope, and gratitude. 

It was wonderful to take a moment to reflect on what parts of the BSEM model have been implemented at St Michael's already, and to come together to plan what is next.
