Welcome to the eSmart section of the St. Simon’s Newsletter. This is the hub where you will find useful links and relevant information relating to online safety.

With the prevalence of more mobile devices accessing the internet, as well as learning having started to be conducted online, it is more important than ever that we try to keep on top of the trends and happenings of the online space so that we can keep students safe when on devices connected to the internet.

There are a number of websites that are aimed at supporting families to keep up to date with technical terms, internet jargon and programs and trends that young people may encounter.

For example, Common Sense Media is a great resource for finding media such as movies, books and games that are suitable for the family. This also has sections to explain what they are and anything you may need to know about it.
