Congratulations to the following students:

Rose (Year 8) claimed gold to secure a podium finish.

Rose won her first fight, which was refereed by Lubomir Petr, an Australian Judo Referee who officiated at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio.

Armed with excellent technical skills and fighting spirit, Rose went on to win the gold medal fight.

Rose has done her coaches at Bridgewater PCYC Judo Club, and the College, very proud. Congratulations, Rose!

Macey Hayes (Year 3), who also contested at the Melbourne International Judo Open, receiving a bronze medal.

Not only was this Macey's first time competing in a national event, but she was also the youngest competitor on the day.

Well done, Macey—winning a medal for your first fight in a new age division is very impressive.

Violet Halton (Year 8), who has been recognised for living out the Presentation touchstone of compassion through her amazing support of Project Compassion, Caritas' annual Lenten appeal.

Violet embraced the opportunity to fundraise for the campaign, returning a money box filled to the brim with donations.

Thank you to Violet and her family and friends for their generous contributions. It is this spirit of giving and service to others that makes us proud to be a Catholic school in the Presentation tradition.

Millie Beach (Year 6),who returned home with a swag of medals after competing at the Tasmanian State Titles for Surf Life Saving in Penguin.

Staying true to her family name, Millie performed strongly on both the sand and in the surf, claiming first place in the Cameron relay and board relay; second place in the board rescue; and third place in the iron person and 1km run.

Millie is following in the footsteps of her older sister, Charlotte (Year 9), who was recently awarded Tasmanian Junior Life Saver of the Year.

Well done, Millie! The College is excited to see what's next in store for you.
