  1. How long have you been with Sacred Heart? I have been at Sacred Heart for 13 years. I applied for the job when my husband and I first moved up to Mooroopna from Melbourne. At the time I had never even heard of Tatura but the minute I walked through the foyer into the quadrangle I knew it was the school for me.
  2. What is your favourite thing about your job? My favourite thing would have to be watching my students develop, learn and be proud of their achievements. I love showing students learning can be fun and utilising all the great tools and technology we have at Sacred Heart to do this. I enjoy building relationships with the students and their families and I know I am blessed that I work in a career where I can laugh every day!
  3. Any kids/pets? We have an eleven year old son, Cameron who is in Grade 6 at Sacred Heart. I am definitely not ready for him to go to high school next year! We also have a one year old mini Groodle Daisy, who has a very sweet name but is a tiny terror. Nothing below bench height is safe in our home when Daisy is inside.
  4. What are your hobbies? I enjoy taking Daisy on walks, going on bike rides with my family and discovering Victoria on weekend adventures. I love going to Melbourne to spend time with my family and also going to the theatre, Musicals are my favourite.

Close behind Seaspray is Yamba in northern NSW where we have been going for the past 6 years Yamba has an amazing bike track along the rock wall where the Clarence river meets the ocean and fantastic fishing spots as well.

  1. How long have you been with Sacred Heart? This year is my 6th year at Sacred Heart. I started here after working at a Shepparton School for 10 years. It was a memorable moment as my son Sebastian also started in Foundation the same year. It is also nice to be working in the same town I live in. I love working here because of the values and welcoming community.
  2. What is your favourite thing about your job? I love that I can influence children’s learning and make them smile and laugh. I enjoy watching how they develop over the time in my classroom and across the school as they journey through each year level. There are not many jobs where you can dress up and have fun! The joy I see on children’s faces when it’s Fun Friday makes me happy.
  3. Any kids/pets? There are 6 of us in the Tartaglia Family. Myself and my husband David and together we have 4 amazing children; Ben in Year 12, Sebastian in Grade 5 and our cheeky identical twin girls Nicola and Alexandra in Grade 1. We only have 3 pet fish and their names are Spotty, Snowflake and Midnight.
  4. What are your hobbies? I love crafting using my Cricut machine, collecting fun earrings and spending time with my family taking them to their extra-curricular activities.
  5. Favourite holiday destination? We love going to Portarlington each summer holidays. It has been our holiday destination for the past 6 years and is a beautiful place to relax and enjoy the beach and sun together. I would however love to go back to Italy one day and take the family to explore the towns and places that David’s family came from.
