Parents and Friends

The school community acts as one in the interest of the students. Parents and Friends provides a formal structure for parents and others interested in the welfare of the students to plan and organise activities on benefit of the school.

The Parents and Friends of Beaufort Primary School is committed to providing a focus which welcomes all parents/guardians and friends of students of the school. We believe that parent/guardians have a vital role to play in education and that the Parents and Friends Group is an ideal avenue for active participation and the development of a sense of community.

The role of Parents and Friends includes, but is not limited to,

  • Building effective co-operative relationships with the School Council.
  • Assisting and/or facilitate school-based activities
  • Fostering a spirit of positive fellowship amongst parents, staff and friends of the school
  • Providing financial assistance for the development of the school’s facilities and teaching resources
  • Encouraging a broad membership base thus enabling representative decision making
  • Providing a pathway for parents to be involved in supporting the school

Parents and Friends play a significant role in building the community spirit of the school. Its events and functions provide opportunities for parents, staff and students to gather together in a spirit of fun and fellowship.

Parents and Friends hold meetings on a regular basis, dates and times are advertised in the school newsletter and Facebook page.

All parents and carers of Beaufort Primary School are welcome and encouraged to attend each meeting

Parents and Friends are seeking new members to be part of their committee and working group. Their next meeting is on Wednesday 16th March (time to be confirmed). All current and new interested members are welcome to attend. If you require further information, please contact the school.
