Student Leadership Team

Get to know our Year 12 Student Leadership team. These awesome students have been leading the school since Term 4, and we are so excited for them to be leading the school in 2022! 

Zumiran - Prefect

Hello, my name is Zumiran, and I am one of your prefects. I joined the Student Leadership Team to encourage and assist my peers, as well as to make the improvements that our high school requires. To give you a little background on myself, I enjoy performing at school sponsored events and activities such as MADDfest and Harmony Day since I can express myself effectively while still having fun.

 

Sagar - Prefect

Hello everyone! My name is Sagar and I am the 2022 prefect along with Zumiran. I decided to join the SLT as a Prefect because it would give me the opportunity to understand and voice the concerns and opinions of others because of my unique background. I am from Afghanistan, but I grew up in Ukraine which made me understand people's views and opinions. To tell you a little about myself, I am the youngest in my family, I love anime and I like to draw. A fun fact about me is that I can speak and understand three languages: English, Russian and Farsi and I can understand Ukrainian.

 

Fereshteh - Vice Captain

Hello, I'm Fereshteh and I am the Vice Captain of the Student leadership team of 2022. I joined the student leadership team because I want to develop my confidence in public speaking, leadership, and team–building skills. These skills can definitely be used in the future depending on the type of workplace I end up in. A hobby of mine is reading, I mostly read online.

 

Caitlin - Vice Captain

Hey everyone! My name is Caitlin and I am the new Vice Captain of Evans High School for 2022. I decided to apply for the position at the very last minute and I wasn’t expecting to be elected. I think it will be a great new opportunity for me to improve my leadership skills and it's a new way for me to get involved with events at the school. A fun fact about me is that I really love sports. I will play any sport and will always enjoy it!

 

Brodie - Captain

My name is Brodie and I am the Evans High School Captain. My role on the SLT is to run the meetings, bring up and discuss matters and problems around the school that students and teachers have. I wanted to join the Student Leadership Team as I have a passion for wanting to bring a significant change to the school and wanting to encourage younger students to come to school and be excited to attend.  A fun fact about myself is that I’m a very social and understanding person who likes to joke with peers and teachers. A hobby of mine is playing and watching basketball and rugby league.

 

Ren-Lou - Captain

Hi! My name is Ren-Lou, but around the school I am known as ‘Ren’. I enjoy listening to K-pop and pop music and being active. My role in the Student Leadership Team as a School Captain is to represent the student body and be a role model for the students. I joined the SLT to further strengthen my leadership skills and work with other leaders to focus on helping fellow students improve their school experience and create an engaging environment.
