Hands on Learning

Hands on Learning is a practical school-based program that runs in more than 100 primary and secondary schools across Victoria, Tasmania, New South Wales and Queensland. The program builds wellbeing, engagement, and increases student achievement by creating opportunities for young people to discover their talents and experience success through practical learning out of the classroom. Everyone learns better when they are safe, relaxed and interested. When we belong and when we have a platform to achieve – anything is possible.

Wangaratta High School has commenced ‘Hands on Learning’ program for 2022 as of the 3rd of November.  We now have selected our 10 participants to engage in the program from 2022 into 2023 and beyond.  The initial task was for the students to clean -up and establish a workable space for them to grow and learn.  Images attached are of their efforts over a two-day period.
