Mr Cameron and Miss Judy

Final Newsletter

While we have finally reached the last newsletter and the last few weeks of this school year, we still have so much to do before we say our final farewells. First of all, I would like to say thank you to Miss Judy, who has decided that she would like to spend more time with her grandchildren and so will retire from teaching. I wish her all the best and would like to thank her for her service to teaching. Enjoy yourself Judy - you deserve it!

I would also like to say thank you to our amazing students. It has been a pleasure to see you grow as people, and I look forward to seeing our new school leaders as they take on their roles next year. I want to wish each of the Grade 6 students the best of endeavours as they embark on their Secondary School journey.

It has been a very busy, yet fun and productive 2022 and I am very grateful that I was able to share it with you all. In the last few weeks we've been writing procedural texts. One of those texts was to help the Junior students understand how to use the Bee-Bots. Our class wrote a set of instructions and then created a maze challenge for the Grade 1s and 2s to navigate. More recently we've written a set of instructions to build a balloon rocket.

We've looked at Christmas traditions and their origins, and how Christmas is celebrated around the world. Perhaps your family may add some of these new discoveries to their own celebrations.

Finally, I want to wish our families a very Merry Christmas and a safe and happy New Year!

Mr Cameron
