Dad's Day Breakfast
Wednesday 31st August 2022
After our last two virtual Dad’s Day Breakfasts we are pleased to announce that our next Breakfast on Wednesday 31st August will be held on site. All dads, male carers and significant males of our student’s lives are welcome to attend. The morning will commence at 9:00am and conclude at 11:15am (approx).
It is anticipated on the day that all dads will bring their children to the classroom and then just after 9:00am proceed to the gym and listen to a presentation from ex – Australian cricketer Damien Fleming.
‘Damien Fleming is a refreshing and entertaining speaker, drawing on his years playing Test Cricket for Australia and working in a strong team environment. During his presentations, he weaves humorous anecdotes together with strong motivational messages which easily translate into business and personal situations.
Today, Damien is a well-known media commentator, hosting cricket programs on Fox Sports, SEN and commentary stints on ABC radio’s Cricket and Football Programs. He also writes a regular column for the Inside Edge magazine and is a current leadership & skills consultant for the Australian Cricket Academy.
The only Australian to take a hat-trick in a test debut in 1994-95 against Pakistan, Damien Fleming went on to play 20 Test Matches for Australia.
Following Damien’s address and prior to recess time there will be a short time for dads to return to their children’s classroom/s and assist them with a project.’
At recess all dads are invited to return to the gym for morning tea/breakfast.
We hope all dads are able to attend this day as our breakfast meeting last year was an outstanding success. For many dads this day may provide a rare opportunity for them to bring their children to school and participate during their learning time.
Some Dads may need to organise or plan an RDO with their employer.
