Principal Report

Hello again newsletter readers
In my previous newsletter article I wrote about ‘Bucket Filling’ and how it helps our children feel better about themselves.
In a similar manner, I thought that I would share 40 things that you can say to your children that can also help them improve themselves. The 40 things are in no particular order and don’t all need to be said at once. (One thing a day, once every 2 days or even once a week would be worth trying)
40 Positive things to say to your child
I’m proud of you | I’m grateful for you |
You have awesome ideas | I love being your mum/dad |
You are loved | You are important |
I believe in you | You did a great job |
You were right | I know you did your best |
You are helpful | You are creative |
You make me happy | I love spending time with you |
I love being around you | You made the right choice |
I love learning from you | Being your mum/dad is my greatest job |
I appreciate you | You are so great at that |
Thank you for being you | You are great |
You’re a great son/daughter | You are special |
You made my heart full | I love listening to your stories |
I forgive you | I understand why you did that |
I trust you | You make me smile |
Thanks for working so hard | You give the best hugs |
That was such a kind thing to do | I know you can do it |
You tried your best | Thanks for working so hard |
You are capable of great things | I’m glad you tried that |
We all make mistakes | Our family wouldn’t be the same without you |
Good luck with this and I hope it has a positive effect on your child/children.
