Primary Playground Update - New outdoor learning space
This week saw the opening of an outdoor learning space in the Primary Playground. These tables can used by various classes during the day for learning and also provide the opportunity for some quieter activities at lunchtime. The Grade 6 leaders are responsible for putting "quiet activity boxes" out each day during the breaks, which include drawing materials and games such as Uno and Dominoes. The students are really enjoying this addition to our school. When the months become warmer, we have shading umbrellas ready to fix to the tables, to make the space usable all year round.

1/2 KM in Action
Grade 1/2 Kean/Mahoney students have been thinking about Action and how we can apply the things we learn to real-life change. We have created an Action wall in our classroom where students have the opportunity to write about ways in which they can put their new knowledge into action.
Last week while we were visiting Kinder Kingdom to search for living things, we found lots of non-living things in the form of rubbish. Some of the children were very concerned about this, particularly its potential to harm animals or end up in our waterways. They suggested that as a class we should clean it up. So last Friday, accompanied by our buddy class, we headed back into the bush to do just that! It has been encouraging to see our students thinking about our impact on the natural environment and caring for the world that God has given us.

Primary Assembly
Yesterday's Primary Assembly was hosted by Grade 6 Banham and included the presentation of Fruits of the Spirit and Learner Profile Certificates.
The IB PYP Exhibition 2022
Each year Grade 6 students participate in an in-depth collaborative inquiry which culminates in a public display known as the PYP Exhibition. During the next 5 weeks there will be an intense period of focus and preparation for the Exhibition, although students have actually been developing the skills required for this since the beginning of their PYP journey.
This year the theme of the Exhibition is How the World Works.
We look forward to supporting and encouraging our Grade 6 students through the Exhibition process over the coming weeks.
