A lovely, kind and creative idea!

Mrs de Lacy's Grade 4/5 class were extra kind and creative on Friday, showering love on others with cards and thoughtful acts. Last Friday's "friendly Friday" thoughtful act was presenting Mrs Bennett with a cake that symbolised one of Mrs Bennett's great loves – ocean swimming. The cake was decorated by students and featured a shark, turtle and a swimmer. Mrs Bennett loved the gift and shared her cake with the students.

Mrs Bennett braving the cold for the Salvos Sleep Out

Mrs Jodie Bennett is participating in the Salvos Sleep Out on Thursday 25 August at the Kingston Surf Life Saving Club. This is what Mrs Bennett has said about the sleep out and why she is doing it:

I'm taking part in the Salvos Sleep Out because I want to make a difference for those experiencing homelessness in Tasmania. I'm inspired by the work of The Salvation Army and want to support them by raising money to keep their vital Street2Home (S2H) program alive. .....To continue reading (and to donate) click on the link below.

The Edge (Repeat)

Mrs Arnold is going over The Edge - abseiling 70m down Wrest Point tower on Father’s Day. But there’s a catch! To do it, she needs to raise $500 sponsorship for the Royal Hobart Hospital Research Foundation by the end of this month. Donations are tax deductible, and all funds go to support grants for medical research. You can sponsor her by going to

https://theedge2022doitfordad.raisely.com/denise-arnold

This will be my third time going over the edge and fundraising for the RHH Research Foundation because I believe that this is research that potentially affects all of us.  All funds raised from the EDGE abseil will help ensure more vital medical research be undertaken in Tasmania by passionate local researchers who are focusing on those conditions and diseases that are most prevalent across this state. I would love your support and every donation gets me closer to the Edge!

Gastroenteritis or Covid? (Repeat)

We have had a number of incidences of Gastroenteritis over the past week. If Public Health advises a RAT test, please follow those directions. If it is not Covid related, please be advised that children are not to return to school until they have been free from vomiting or diarrhoea for at least 48 hours from their last episode.

If you have had Covid in the last 28 days, you are not required to test again even if you have symptoms as you are likely to return a positive test due to the virus continuing to leave your system.

Please refer to the Tasmanian Public Health guidelines at coronavirus.tas.gov.au for all the current information.
