VCAL Update

Dear Parents and Carers,

On Curriculum Day our VCAL (soon to be Vocational Major) staff engaged in a full day of professional leaning to ensure we are ready to implement the changes to the VCE Senior Certificate next year. Staff heard from an expert in applied learning and then spent the remainder of the day unpacking the new study design and designing teaching and learning activities and assessments underpinned by applied learning theories.

Current Year 11 families should be aware of the changes to the Senior Certificate. In a Year 11 Assembly last week students were made aware of the requirements to move into Year 12. It is essential that students pass their Year 11 outcomes to ensure they have enough units to be eligible for a VCE Vocational Major at the end of 2023. More information can be found using the link below or please contact Jess Wade or your child's Student Achievement Leader.
