Woolworths Junior Landcare Grant - Bokashi Compost System

We’ve been successful with our application for a 2022 Woolworths Junior Landcare Grant for our project, Bokashi Compost System

The aim of our project is to use the bokashi compost system in the school to reduce food waste going into landfill by turning the food scrapes into compost, which will be used in garden beds. The Sustainability leaders of the school will be overseeing the project

Aitken College is one of 1,054 schools and early learning centres throughout Australia receiving a Woolworths Junior Landcare grant to help grow our next generation of environmental champions. 

The students are looking forward to working and learning from this project and we’ll keep you updated on the results.
