There’s been a lot of excitement in the Art Room with Main Cast costume fittings in progress. A big thank you to Mrs. M who has been working so hard on her sewing machine putting together some beautiful costumes! If there are still any families wishing to assist with costumes please let me know via email. A big thank you to those who are already helping out Mrs. M behind the scenes! We are also looking to see if any families might be able to assist with transporting backdrops (6 Panels) to and from the Theatre. Please contact me via email if you are able to assist.

BEHIND THE SCENES

This term, all students are working hard in Performing Arts learning their songs and dances. Music and lyrics will be available on Seesaw for all students to practice at home if they wish. Each week, students in the Main Cast as well as our Principal Dancers and Ensemble in the senior school have all been showing a tremendous effort both at school rehearsals and at home. I have enjoyed hearing about the support of families (mums, dads and even siblings!) assisting Main Cast students in learning their lines at home. Thank you so much! Thank you to Mrs. Wensley and Nicole Everett who have put together some amazing choreography for our show! Each week the students march into the hall with big smiles on their faces excited to learn the fun choreography they have created! Thank you to Miss. Michelle, Malina Currie, Miss. Kent and Mr. Simpson for bringing your artistic talents to our set and assisting in creating some amazing backdrops and props! The students love walking into the hall pointing out with excitement the development of sets props throughout the term! Thank you to Miss. Mannion and the middle school Choir who have began rehearsing the music for the night. I was able to join in with them this week and was blown away by the vibrant energy and vocal talents in the room! Well done St. Mary’s Choir! All the wonderful efforts from all students, teachers and families is what brings magic to the show and I look forward to sharing the joy it brings with you all in Term 4! Until then please enjoy some snapshots from behind the scenes!
