Deliciousness in the making with the Breakfast Club

How the students at Albanvale Primary School

are starting the day right.

The Breakfast Club at Albanvale Primary School helps students all around the school. They focus on organising this important program to ensure that everyone has a healthy breakfast and are ready to learn for the day. We had the opportunity to talk to a couple of members in this group, this is what we found:

We interviewed Zac and Ramy
What is the main reason that this group is a part of the young leaders program?

We think the main reason that this group is part of the young leaders program is because it shows responsibility to supply breakfast for all classes in the school.

It is the student that are part of our group's responsibility to make sure that the Albanvale students have a healthy start to the day.

What do you do each week on Tuesday afternoon?

Firstly, we go into each of the classes to grab the breakfast equipment and then we bring it to the kitchen to restock so that it is ready for the class the next day. This may involve restocking the milk or fruit.

Why do you think this group is important for students at Albanvale Primary School?

This is very important to the students because if they do not have a healthy breakfast then they will not have the energy to learn during the day. It is great the APS has this available for students to have each day.

What is your favourite part of being in this group?
It is good that we have a chance to be part of setting people up to have a good day at school. Without this group, some people would not have the energy to improve their work or knowledge.

This is an amazing part of the Young Leader Program and everyone in this group were all so excited to be a part of it. This a really good opportunity to help kids that haven't had breakfast at home eat at school. A healthy breakfast creates a healthy brain and kids will be set up for a successful day. The breakfast will be delivered to your classroom every morning by a young leader.
