Werribee Zoo Here We Come!

On Friday the 5th of august the 1/2s went on an excursion to the Werribee zoo, and saw lots of amazing animals. This day was enjoyed by everyone and something that they will remember for the rest of their time at Albanvale Primary School.
Today, we interviewed Nunu and Tina who spoke about the animals that they saw and why they made the trip to Werribee Zoo.
What was the reason that you went to the Werribee Zoo?
We went to the zoo because for the past few weeks we've been learning about different types of animals and their habitats. It was good to see the animals in their natural habitat as well as see the animals that we have been learning about, in real life.

What were some of the animals that you saw?
We saw a heap of animals from different habitats and doing different things. My favourite one was when we saw the Giraffe. Our teacher was over the moon when she saw it and it was so close. Some people really liked the lion and we got to see them up close and personal. I loved the zebra because of it's black and white strips.

What was your favourite part of the trip to the Zoo and why?
We all loved going on the safari bus and see the different animals. A lot of them were sleeping but they were good to see. Even though the bus was bumpy we loved the different things we saw. We even got to see the Giraffe walk right in front of our bus.
Do you think the classes enjoyed the trip?
The trip was amazing and we would definitely go back again. There is so much to see and do and it was great to be able to see the things that we have been learning at school. |
