Some Special Things are Happening in 1/2S!!

Written by Iclal & Leeroy on the 2nd of August

What is so special about this class? Let’s find out!

We are Iclal and Leeroy and today we did a Class Spotlight on one of our 1/2 classes. Today we interviewed 2 students that were really kind and enjoyable to interview. It is clear to see that 1/2 S loves being in the class and enjoys what they are learning at the moment. We asked them about what they were doing in Reading, Writing, and Mathematics. The students that we spoke to were excited to tell us what they have been up to. This is what they had to say:

We interviewed Haiden and Naiya
What makes your class such a special place to learn in?

I like the fact that  our classroom is very colourful. It is full of things that help us learn.

My favourite part of being in 1/2S is my classmates and my teacher. We have lots of fun together because we play heaps of games.

What is your class doing at the moment in Reading?

We are summarising a non-fiction text. This has included using the text 'Tomatoes' this week. We have been given a sheet and need to write the important details in the text. We know that something is important cause it helps us to understand what the book is trying to say.

What is your class doing at the moment in Writing?

We are writing a recount and this means that we tell a story that happened to us in real life. In a recount we use time words like: First, then and next.

We are going to write a recount about going to the zoo last week.

What is your class doing at the moment in Mathematics?

lately, we have been working on division. I know that we use groups in division. It is important to learn division so we can solve problem faster, if someone was to ask us a division question we would know the answer.

What is your favourite part about being a student at Albanvale Primary School?
It is so fun to learn all the new things. There is a lot of students that I like to learn with and they have become my friends. I like the uniform and the colours are dark, which I like. They also keep us warm when we are outside in the cold.

It is clear that the students in 1/2 S are doing some awesome work and this has allowed the class to learn some great things. We will be back next week to highlight the great work that another of Albanvale Primary School Classes work is doing.
