PERSONAL FUTURES
YEAR 9
We interviewed some of the Year nine students about the city camp we went on as part of our Personal Futures program. We received a range of answers, but the overwhelming majority agreed that city camp could be summed up as kind of hectic, a lot of fun and a good challenge.
As part of our Personal Futures Program, year nine spent four days plaguing the innocent civilians of Melbourne with questions about direction and tram timetables while we were on our City Experience camp. We did several activities in the duration of the camp including creating b-grade sci-fi films, a re-enactment at the Melbourne Gaol court, a tour at the Shrine of Remembrance, a street arts tour and a very...alternative workshop at Chunky Move Contemporary Company.
On behalf of year nine we would like to thank all the teachers who came along and endured our antics for longer than anyone should have to, Holly Finlay for providing a much used deck of cards, Henry Barnes for bringing speakers that blasted Nickleback at 6:00am, anyone that brought lollies, Miss Hill for brushing atrocious knots from people's hair, the staff at Melbourne Metro Youth Hostel, the cooks for putting up with even the pickiest eater, James Van Breda for the constant knick-knocking and everyone on the bus home who joined in on the impromptu Livin' On a Prayer sing along. We all had an awesome time.
