RACV Energy Breakthrough Challenge

We are half way through the year and Term 3 is going to be extremely busy for the RACV EBT members. The students will continue Monday fitness trainings at school with Mel Cheney. The HPV students will hopefully be able to use the spin bikes during a lunch time to continue to build on their fitness. The push cart teams will soon be starting Thursday morning sessions on the oval where they will become familiar with their vehicles and build up their stamina.

The teams will also begin working on their presentations and design and construction aspects of the program. These two sections are extremely important and contribute points to our overall position in the competition.

A program such as this takes a lot of time and money to put together and run successfully. We would like to thank the sponsors who have contributed to the program this year. Mulgrave Country Club, JPPS Parents Committee, the Way Family, Bar Ware, Waverley RSL, Crosier Scott Architects, S.L.A Constructions, Waverley Smile Clinic, the Brown Family and RHS Sports have all been extremely generous in supporting this program. Also, a big thank you to George Poole for his hard work on our 2 HPV’s and the Krivanek family who have donated their time and resources to paint our school trailer.

Our HPV students have been out at Casey Fields training for our first event in Bendigo coming up on the Saturday 20 August. Our new HPV is proving to be very fast and the students have already improved on their times in all three vehicles.
