MyScience Project

Earlier this year Kildare science students were involved in the MyScience Research Project. The purpose of this research study was to explore the possibility of creating collaborative partnerships between a primary and secondary school, which would focus on authentic science learning. Our partner school was Henschke Primary. Kildare students acted as science mentors who guided the primary students through the development of a testable idea by performing a first-hand investigation. The topic for the investigation was plant adaptations. The team of mentors went on weekly visits and worked with small groups of students. I would like to thank these students who were exemplary role models and a delight to work with.
