Winter Co-Curricular training and games have recommenced for Term 3 and will run for a total of five weeks. Fixtures have already been distributed to all students. The winter sport program concludes at the end of Week 5 with the annual Intercol versus CBC. The Intercol in 2017 will be hosted by CBC.

 

Co-Curricular Information on SEQTA

All co-curricular information including fixtures, game times and maps are now available via SEQTA. On the SEQTA homepage, you will find a co-curricular button that links you to this information. Fixtures and maps are updated weekly.

 

Dominican Cup

As part of St Dominic’s Day celebrations, the Senior A Soccer and Senior A Basketball teams will compete for the annual Dominican Cup. The Dominican Cup was established in 2007 between Blackfriars Priory School and Cabra Dominican College to celebrate both school’s strong Dominican tradition. The Senior A Soccer and Senior A Basketball teams play for a trophy with the best players from each team being awarded a medal for their standout performance. These games will be played on Saturday 5 August at Cabra Dominican College.

Round 5 – Blackfriars vs Nazareth

Blackfriars Won 4 – 0

Round 6 – Blackfriars vs Glenunga

Blackfriars Won 4 – 0

Best Players: Zachary Dalton, Kristian Tsimouris, Alan Banh, Francis Snelling.

 

The next round will be held on Friday 11 August, 7:00pm at The Chess Centre of South Australia.

 

8/9 State Knockout Soccer

On Wednesday 2 August, Blackfriars competed against Underdale High School in Round 2 of the 8/9 State Knockout Soccer competition. Blackfriars lost 2-0.

 

Upcoming Knockout Sport Fixtures

  • Open 5-a-side Outdoor Soccer – On Friday 11 August, Blackfriars will be competing in the Open 5-a-side Outdoor Soccer (Southern Zone) Competition. The winner will progress to the finals where they will compete against other winning schools from their respective zones.
  • Year 10 Knockout Soccer – Blackfriars are scheduled to play Sacred Heart and Tatachilla Lutheran College in Round 2 of the Year 10 State Knockout Soccer competition. Fixture date is still being finalised.
