Welcome to our new Reception students in Term 3!
Welcome back to Term 3 and a big welcome to our new Reception families that started this term. We also welcome several International Students who are visiting some of the Primary classes for a few days to a few weeks. We hope they enjoy their time with us.
We would like to officially welcome our new primary teachers who also started at the beginning of the term. Miss Kendall Schenk who has replaced Mrs Victoria Ruggiero while on maternity leave and Mr Cameron Brealey who has replaced Miss Jessica Sullivan. In Henry Vo’s Year 6 class, Miss Katarina Schulz will be completing her pre-service placement for the first four weeks of this term. We would also like to take this opportunity to congratulate Mrs Victoria Ruggiero and her husband, Mr David Ruggiero on the birth of their gorgeous daughter Amelia, who arrived 11 days early and all are doing very well.
On Thursday 27 July, there were 23 primary students from Years 3 to 6 who competed in the Australian Mathematics Competition. We congratulate these boys on their efforts and look forward to getting their results back later this year.
On Tuesday 1 August, there were 14 students in Years 2 to 6 who sat the ICAS English paper and the last ICAS paper will be Maths on 15 August is our biggest paper with 33 students opting to sit this. The results for both will be available next term.
Last term 11 students in Year 3 to 6 completed the Digital Technologies paper, we received 2 Distinctions and 5 Credits.

On 30 May 2017, 18 students in Year 2 to 6 completed the Science paper. Out of those 18 we received 1 Distinction, 2 Credits and 4 Merit certificates.

On 14 June 2017, 15 boys completed the Spelling paper from Year 2 to 6. From these 15 students, we received 1 Distinction, 7 Credits and 2 Merit certificates.

We have once again registered for the Earn and Learn rewards at Woolworths which started on 26 July. The more stickers we receive the more rewards we will be able to redeem, so please ask all your family and friends to collect these for us as well. We are aiming this year to get 20,000 stickers. If you require more sheets, you son will be able to collect these from his class teacher or from the Primary Administration Building.
This term we are going to be alternating every Friday morning between either an Assembly in Frassati Hall or a Mass/Liturgy in the School Chapel.

On Thursday 3 August, we celebrated St Dominic’s Feast Day. This is a day the whole school comes together to celebrate the life of our founding Saint. The day is very busy with different events happening throughout the day. As a Primary School, each of the classes completed different activities between recess and lunch.
