Grievance

Grievance

November/December 2019

Members of the Grievance Team met with Andy Garcia, Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources and Ivan Chaidez, Assistant Superintendent of Educational Services Department in mid November to have the informal grievance meeting regarding the management’s decision to not provide a stipend to Induction Coaches. This is a violation of Article 12.5.4.3, (ratified Article 12) where it states that:

the District shall pay an annual stipend of $1,456 to each unit member assigned to mentor one employee in the Program and $1,800 for each unit member assigned to mentor two or more employees.

Since no resolution was met at that November meeting, we, as an Association,  filed a Level 1 Grievance on December 13.
