MUSIC NEWS

WELCOME BACK
A warm welcome back to the New Year in the Music Department. We are thoroughly looking forward to the fantastic performing opportunities that will present themselves throughout the year.
We welcome Ms Catherine Oxworth and Ms Kathryn Cooper, who are replacing Ms Rogerson while she is on leave this term.
We also wish Mr Cook a speedy recovery as he recuperates from an operation. We hope to see him back in March. Ms Kavanagh and Ms Bugeja will cover his classes in the interim.
VCE STUDENTS
VCE students are reminded that they should be setting up their rehearsal schedule NOW for whole year to ensure success in the final performances.
HOUSE MUSIC FESTIVAL
We are excited about the House Music Festival where the students have the opportunity to showcase their talents as arrangers and performers. This will take place at 7:00pm on Wednesday 23 March in the School Hall. Make sure you mark your calendars for this very exciting event.
Congratulations to the newly appointed Music Captains who will run the entire event, including music selection, arrangement and running of rehearsals.

INSTRUMENT TAGS
All personally owned instruments brought to school must be clearly identified with the student’s name and a contact number. It is also advisable that something that is a ‘point of difference’ is attached to the case so that students can quickly and easily identify their own instrument.
