God’s Marvellous Creation

In 3/4 we have been learning about God’s marvellous creation. We have been reflecting on all the wonders of the world and our favourite places. Here are some of our favourite places.

Jonah: My favourite place is El Questro because it has beautiful gorges and big farmland. However, my favourite thing about El Questro is the Boab trees. If you don’t know what Boab Trees are they are big trees that carry a lot of water in their trunk. Their trunk is sort of an oval or round shape. They are hollow with water in them. 

Mason: My favourite place to be is Torquay beach. I love the beach there because it has a mountain of seaweed there that I like climbing. The smell is so beachy and the sand feels so warm and nice. When the sun is shining on you and you are feeling warm, it is beautiful. 

Ellyse: My favourite place on Earth that God created is the rainforest. Although I’ve only seen them in pictures, rainforests are by far the most beautiful home that could be brought to life. I love rainforests because they look so serene and calming. They are full of nature just the way I like it. I would love the rainforest to be my home. I pray that I can visit one with a big beautiful waterfall. 

After reflecting on their favourite places, 3/4C then wrote prayers thanking God for his creation. We share some of these prayers now.

Nicola: Dear Lord, my God. Thank you most humble Lord our God for all the beautiful nature. The trees and the flowers and grass, oh so green. The fluffy clouds and sky so blue, The rocks and mountains, oh so tall. The mammals, reptiles and birds, so beautiful. Thank you Lord. Lord Hear Us. 

Asher Rose: Thank you God for gardens. Thank you for the flowers I can smell. Thank you for the soft grass I can play in. Thank you for the trees I can climb. Thank you for the fruit I can plant. Thank you for it all. Lord Hear Us

Samantha: Thank you God for the fluffy snow that I can ski on.Thank you God for the trees that I can climb. Thank you for the waves that I can surf. Thank you God for the ocean. Lord hear us.

Cara: Thank you God for the beach. Thank you for the water that I can swim in. Thank you for the soft sand that I can sit on. Thank you for the sea life because it is keeping the ocean alive. Thank you my humble God, Lord Hear Us

Joe: Dear Lord, Thank you for our beautiful earth even though some of us are not taking care of it, forgive them. Thank you for the water we drink, the food we eat and the air we breathe. Thank you Lord.
