Education in Faith

Last Tuesday, our Grade 3/4 children made their Sacrament of Reconciliation. It was a lovely evening where the children reverently either received the Sacrament for the first time or a blessing. It was wonderful to come together as a faith filled community to support our children along this important milestone in their lives. All our prayers and blessing are with them at this special time.

This Monday, the children engaged in our Caritas Coin Line Challenge. Thank you so much to all the families for supporting our social justice initiative and we are very happy to announce that we raised over $500. This is an amazing effort and a strong reflection on our desire to support others who are less fortunate than ourselves. Our social justice leaders did a wonderful job in promoting this event and we are very proud of their commitment to their leadership role.  A formal presentation of the funds will be handed over to a Caritas representative at 1.00pm on Thursday before the draw of the Easter Egg Raffle.

On Thursday, the whole school will begin the day  with a Holy Week prayer service in the Padua building at 9 am. Each class has been reflecting on and preparing to present a part of the Holy Week story.  All families are most welcome to join us.

I would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a safe and restful Easter. I feel very blessed to have been so warmly welcomed into the St Anthony's family and so look forward to bigger and brighter explorations of our faith as a community  in the coming months.

Yours in Faith,

Sue Lema
