Matilda Jr. Update

This week we commenced singing through the songs of the show including the harmonies. The music of Tim Minchin is extremely tricky with lots of syncopation and triplets. The cast is doing a fantastic job getting their heads around the score.

Choreography Workshop Years 3 to 6

Next term, Choreographer, Stephanie Harrison, will be conducting weekly choreography sessions for all classes Years 3 to 6. These sessions will be held in the Performing Arts lessons. Stephanie will be sharing her knowledge of Musical Theatre - Song and Dance and Hip Hop with the students and will be working with the students to choreograph their own dances for their class scenes in Matilda Jr. The sessions will incorporate an inquiry-based approach where the students are provided with the voice and agency to create the class dances.
