LIBRARY

The library is bursting at the seams every lunchtime at the moment. We love seeing the chess players, card players, readers and socialisers making use of our library space.

Over the holidays we got some new furniture in the library. It has been a huge hit with students and staff and has already been very well utilised. We are hoping to continue to upgrade our furniture over the next few years.

Chess club goes from strength-to-strength. Dane Foster, our chess captain, provides some guidance to the novices and our expert players get to play each other in some nail-biting games. Next month we are hoping to organise an inter-school competition to see how our skilful chess players compare to those in other schools.

At the end of last term we held our annual Easter bunny hunt, where we hide three pictures of bunnies around the school and the students who manage to hunt them down can exchange the picture for an Easter egg. Congratulations to all our bunny finders this year, and thank you to everyone who joined in the hunt so enthusiastically.

Bookmark competition winners

Congratulations to the 3 winners of our Yr 7 Design a Bookmark Competition Sam Stavrinou, Alice Wongsakom and Erin Makrakis. Keep an eye out for the beautiful printed versions of these in the library very soon.
