STUDENT LEADERSHIP

Our Student Leadership Team attended the Youth Leadership Conference on Tuesday 27th April and it was a great experience. I was able to gain a great amount of knowledge by learning about things such as how important your mindset is and how being unique and yourself can be a great asset. It was also inspiring to hear about the speakers personal experience and how they were able to be resilient, stand out and not let things like age slow them down. I believe that this showed that we all can achieve or even just know we gave it our best shot if we have the right mindset.

The Youth Leadership Conference was such an amazing opportunity! Not only did we get the chance to listen to incredible leaders and speakers, but also to think in depth about what it means to be a leader. I learnt many important lessons and now have more ideas for the future. One of my key takeaways from the conference is that your mindset is everything and there is no limit to what you can achieve, regardless of age or any other factor.

The conference given by the Youth Leadership Academy Australia was very engaging, inspiring and we all got a lot out of the conference. From the conference, I learned that having a strong mindset is very important and you should always “Own your story” meaning that you should be proud of who you are. Along with this, I also learned that you should always take opportunities because you may regret missing out on them later.
