Playdate!

The students and parents at the Busselton Pre Kindy and Kindy enjoyed their introduction to the school year with their fun playdate.

Survive and Shine 2022

Each year the Year 12 students engage in a SAS program to help them survive and shine! It starts with a challenge and goal setting day at the beginning of the year. Other parts of the program include a study skills training session and their end of year beach and reflection day. This year's program started off very successfully with some great team moments.

Coffee, anyone?

The Dunsborough 5 and 6 class are very excited to start a business together and have begun to learn the process of making exceptional coffee. This brings together so many curriculum threads, including Economics of course, and they're testing the process with hot chocolates. Keep an eye out for these budding entrepreneurs!

Leadership

The 2022 Year 6 and Year 12 House Captains along with Year 12 Head Girl and Boy were recognised last Monday at a whole school assembly. These students will be taking on leadership roles and representing the Cornerstone Christian College community this year. We appreciate their service!

Innovative Literacy

Engaging students in literacy activities is so much more than words on a page. The Dunsborough 1 and 2 class were inspired by their story, "Giraffe's Can't Dance" and launched into some amazing narrative activities.

Lunchtime

Lunchtime activities are up and running for 2022! Chalk art was requested by students and is back at lunchtime Wednesdays. Students are enjoying new sports equipment and excitedly waiting for the new outdoor basketball court. What a great start to 2022!

Flags and Civics

The study of Civics is an important part of the Humanities curriculum. As part of their studies the Year 6 class takes on the management of the College flags. This forms a practical aspect of their learning as they consider the etiquette surrounding a country's flags and respect for our country. Mr Maynard introduced this year's class to the flags and taught them about raising and lowering the flags the correct way. It's a responsible job!
