Grade 4

Meet the team on Level 4, our alpine floor...

We proudly introduce our wonderful Grade 4 Team for 2022:

Miss Orlaith Kenny (Team Leader) - Grade 4A

Hello South Melbourne Primary School Community, my name is Miss Orlaith.

I am a Grade 4 teacher. I will be soon entering into my sixth year of teaching. I have spent the majority of my career so far in the Grade 3/4 department.

I am originally from a small country in Europe called Ireland. I grew up across from my grandparent’s farm and therefore I spent most of my childhood on their land with the farm animals. As I have grown up, I still love the outdoors. In my family, I have my mum, my dad, my brother and my dog Bruno. They all live in Ireland. I moved to Australia in 2019 with some of my friends. I love living in the vibrant city of Melbourne however I do miss my family. I am hoping to visit them for a holiday this year.

During my free time, I like to go on hikes, walks along the beach, grabbing a coffee and hanging out with my friends. I cannot wait to get to know you and your families. We are going to have lots of fun learning together.

Mr Angus Morton - Grade 4B

Hi everyone, my name is Angus and I am so incredibly excited to be a part of the South Melbourne Primary School community this year!

I have just finished doing a double degree at Monash University in Primary Education (Honours) and Science, and am very keen to be in the classroom sharing my knowledge with all the students.

Outside of class you can catch me reading a book, playing some video games, or maybe even going for a spear-fish down by the beach! I also love to go for long walks with my dog Bonnie and enjoy going on adventures around Melbourne, so let me know if you know any amazing places to visit around the city!

I can't wait until I get to see you all this year and get to be a part of your amazing school.

Miss Yasmin Dall - Grade 4C

Hello, SMPS community! My name is Yasmin and I am very much looking forward to joining this exciting and progressive school this year.

A little bit about me: I am soon to be a graduate from the University of Melbourne where I have studied my Masters of Teaching (Primary) course. I am half Australian/half Malaysian Chinese and prior to moving to Melbourne over ten years ago I grew up and spent eighteen years in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. During this time, I was lucky enough to embrace the Asian culture where I was able to travel to many South East Asian countries and learn how to speak Malay and basic Mandarin.

My hobbies involve many creative activities, such as; ceramics/pottery, painting and furniture restorations! You may also find me spending time gardening on the weekends or finding a new mountain to hike.

This year, I am most looking forward to getting to know everyone in the SMPS community who have already been so welcoming.
