We proudly introduce our wonderful Grade 2 Team:

Miss Nadeeka Pussalle (Team Leader) - Grade 2A

Hi SMPS families, 

My name is Miss Nadeeka and I will be teaching Grade 2A in 2022. I will also be the Grade 2 Team Leader. I have been teaching for 9 years and this will be my 4th year at SMPS. I was born in a small rural town in Sri Lanka and moved to Australia when I was three years old. I love hiking, reading and gardening. Whenever I get the chance, I grab my tent or swag and head out exploring. Warming my hands near a campfire and watching the stars come out in the evening are two of my favorite things. 

I am currently having a go at growing an avocado tree from a seed. I have two seeds and I’m trying two different techniques. If you have any tips, please feel free to share them with me. 

I am looking forward to another wonderful year at SMPS and getting to know you and your family. 

Miss Hope Underwood - Grade 2B

Hi everyone, my name is Miss Hope. I have had the privilege of teaching at SMPS for almost 3 years as a Grade 2 and Specialist teacher. In 2022, I am thrilled to be teaching Grade 2 again. 

I grew up on the Mornington Peninsula and love to spend time at the beach and visit my family. When I am not in the classroom, you can find me walking my dog or boxing at the gym. I am excited for next year as I will be marrying my partner of 10 years, Rhys, over the Easter holidays. 

I look forward to getting to know you and your families in 2022! 

Miss Jess Hobbs - Grade 2C

Hello SMPS Families,  

My name is Jessica Hobbs and I have been teaching at SMPS since it opened 4 years ago. I will be teaching 2C this year.  

A passion of mine is animals. I have two pets at home. I have my dog, Cludo and my bird, Rafa. They all have their own interesting personalities and I love to be around them when I go home for the weekends.  

I enjoy going on long walks in the sunshine, reading and eating lots of yummy food, especially pizza and anything made with Nutella!

Alysse Pirovano - Grade 2D

Hello everyone, my name is Miss Alysse. Next year will be my second year teaching at SMPS. I am so excited to be teaching Grade 2 again in 2022.  

After a few years living and travelling overseas, I am so happy to be calling Melbourne home again. When I’m not in the classroom, you can find me reading, cooking, going to Pilates and catching up with friends. I also love spending time relaxing with family up in Yarrawonga during the holidays.  

I look forward to another wonderful year getting to know you and your families next year!
