Welcome to New Families and Students

This week we welcomed our Reception students to their first week of school, with today (Wednesday) being their first full day. In addition to our youngest children and their families, we also welcome a number of new school families with children in other year levels. We pray that you and your child/ren find yourself feeling at home in our school community. New families, please call or email the office any time you have a question. We are here to help you and your child.

All Students Return Next Week

The SA COVID Ready Committee has confirmed that all students will return to face-to-face learning from next Monday, 14 February. We are so excited to see you all back at school!

I would like to thank all staff, children and families for their work and support as we began the year with remote learning.

We know that there will be some children who will remain at home for quarantine reasons. Please be in contact with your classroom teacher, as well as Deputy Principal, Jason Fay (jfay@stpaulba.sa.edu.au), for support with these arrangements. We ask for your patience in the coming week as we work with each family quarantining to determine their needs.

COVID-19 Procedures Reminder

We ask that parents and caregivers please use kiss and drop wherever possible, or bring your child to any of the school entry doors. We will have staff members available to support with children entering the school. Please don’t hesitate to be in contact with your child’s teacher if this is not working or you need more help.

Please note that we are only accepting essential visitors on site at this time. Should it be essential to visit the school, please wear a mask at all times. You are more than welcome to contact the school office via phone or email for support of any kind: 8260 2655 admin@stpaulba.sa.edu.au

Children should stay home if they are showing any COVID-19 symptoms, including:

  • Fever (high temperature)
  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath
  • Loss of taste and smell
  • Fatigue
  • Headache
  • Muscle aches
  • Runny nose
  • Abdominal pain
  • Difficulties with memory or confusion
  • Loss of appetite
  • Diarrhoea.

2024 Enrolments

During this term, I will be conducting enrolment interviews for new families who have applied to enrol for Reception in 2024. We provide priority entry to siblings if we have their information on file. If you are a current family of St Paul and believe you may not have completed an enrolment form for your younger child, please ask at the office for a form as soon as possible. If you would like to check that you have a form in, please ask Monique Tabuena to check for you: mtabuena@stpaulba.sa.edu.au

Vacancies for Reception fill quickly each year, however there are some places for 2023, as well as places in some other year levels. If you have friends or extended family who are seeking a suitable place for their child’s education, we’d love you to direct them to us for a tour.
