 Mardi Gras

 Le Carnaval Français at BPS

Thursday 10th March 2022

To celebrate our French Language Program, students are invited to come dressed in colourful costumes on Thursday 10th March. Students will be making masks at school which they will be wearing on the day.

Mardi Gras is celebrated in France as part of their cultural celebrations in preparation for Lent, a significant traditional and religious celebration. It also ties in with other similar Spring festivals and Easter celebrations in Europe. It is an important time to set goals for the new year ahead. It is a time to have fun, eat treats and to be in character for a day.

Parents and guardians, you are welcome to pack your children a French treat, maybe a croissant, pain au chocolat or a beignet for your child’s recess snack.

Madame Esposito and Madame Farfalla are looking forward to seeing you all in your colourful costumes.

See you Thursday 10th March!
