The Toyota Dream Car Art Contest

The Toyota Dream Car Art Contest is a fantastic opportunity for the creative thinkers, designers and engineers of tomorrow. Children up to the age of 15 can showcase their vision of a ‘Dream Car’ for the chance to win some great prizes. One lucky Aussie entrant will be crowned the Australian National Dream Car Champion and will win a $2500 VISA gift card for their school and a $2500 VISA gift card for themselves. There are also eight $275 prizes to be won.

There are three age categories:

Under 8s
8-11 year olds
12-15 year olds

All entries must be created by hand (painting, drawing, collage etc) and submitted online.

The competition closes on Monday 28 February 2022.

Young Archie Competition

The Art Gallery of New South Wales invites budding artists between the ages of 5 and 18 to submit a portrait for the Young Archie 2022 competition.

The portrait must be of a person who is special to you – someone who is known to you and who knows you and plays a significant role in your life.

We prefer that the portrait is ‘painted from life’ and that your subject has a sitting for their portrait, like with the Archibald Prize. You may also create the portrait from memory or take your own photograph to use for reference.

There are four age categories:

5-8 year olds
9-12 year olds
13-15 year olds
16-18 year olds

Original artwork needs to be sent to the Gallery, to arrive before 6 March 2022

All finalists are displayed at the Art Gallery of NSW held in conjunction with the Archibald, Wynne and Sulman Prizes exhibition.

Science without Borders® Challenge — International Student Art Contest

The Science Without Borders® Challenge is an international contest that engages students and teachers in ocean conservation through art. This annual competition inspires students to be creative while promoting public awareness of the need to preserve, protect, and restore the world’s oceans and aquatic resources, contributing to the overarching goals of the Khaled bin Sultan Living Oceans Foundation.

The theme for this year’s 10th annual Science without Borders® Challenge is “Ridge to Reef.” Everything is interconnected from the land to the sea.

For this year’s theme, create a piece of art that illustrates one or more actions that governments, non-profits, park managers, and indigenous communities can take to preserve coral reefs using a ridge to reef approach to conservation.

This international art competition is open to all students 11-19 years old. Work will be judged in two categories based on age, with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes awarded for each:

Students 11-14 years old
Students 15-19 years old

Immunisation Coalition 2022 Art Prize

The Immunisation Coalition Art Prize raises awareness about immunisation against vaccine preventable diseases in a scientifically informed way.

This competition is open to amateur and professional artists, beginner or expert, and no special qualifications are required for your participation. Artists can compete in different categories.

Category A: Primary & Secondary Visual Art Prize $500.

There are three themes to choose from for your Art Prize submission:

Infectious diseases and our world
Vaccination fact-based concepts
The facts about vaccine preventable diseases

The competition is open to 2 & 3-dimensional artworks, photography, digital and fine art. There are also short film categories and video, digital film, animation and stop motion submissions are encouraged. See the website for more information.
