Music Update

Interesting music fact:   Students highly engaged in music are on average academically over 1 year ahead of peers not engaged in music

Year 7 Music Information

All Year 7 students at EMC have the opportunity to learn to play an instrument and we highly encourage all students to take this up. It is well documented that students who learn to play an instrument experience a higher level of success academically, socially and emotionally than those who don't. Boost your school experience by learning to play an instrument!

There will be information sessions running during weeks 3, 4 and 5 for all year 7 students during class time. This year we have lessons available on the following instruments: flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, french horn, euphonium and percussion.

Please contact Catherine Simmonds in the music department if you would like more information about music lessons.
