Students enjoyed building the rockets and launching them. Some worked really well while others didn’t. Lots of students were so excited and they really enjoyed this topic.

Year 9 STEAM
STEAM is an integral of our learning and our goal is preparing our students for future. In the future 32% of jobs will be STEAM related.
Our Year 9 students at Edenhope College completed a STEAM Project by constructing a tetrahedron straw tower. To build this tower, students only used straws, string, scissor and their fertile brain. Students applied their architectural knowledge and materials management skills to complete this project.
Well done Chloe Gherardin, Erin Ewer, Brooke Ewer, Albert Rijal and Rory Caldow!
Year 10 English
Year 10 students have been incorporating hands on creative responses to the book they've been studying in English.
VCAL Numeracy
Edenhope college VCAL Numeracy students have conducted a walk around Lake Wallace activity to apply their mathematical skills and knowledge in life skills.
They walked around the lake which is 5020 meter perimeter. Every 500 meters student walked, they have done different activities including 5 push ups at the start, counted steps to the crop field, counted steps on the bridge, counted the number of birds between 3020 m to 3520 meters. They threw an object through the Y-shape in the big tree, avoided the road works safely and returned to the starting point. A fun Friday afternoon!
Year 11 Biology
The Year 11 Biology students recently dissected rabbits and rats to identify the major organs.
The students researched and presented a mammalian body system to the class earlier in the year. In unit two Biology the students are studying asexual and sexual reproduction. The students compared the reproductive system of males and females on Friday. The students found two of the rabbits were pregnant and were able to see the development of the rabbits in the uterus.
The Year 11 students and I would like to thank Hayley Grigg and her father for providing the class with rabbits. Hayley was very accurate with the gun and froze the rabbits until the class was ready for dissections. Thank you Stuart Grigg for transporting the rabbits to school.
