ASC PIANO COMPETITION
Congratulations to Camden Flockhart, Alison Gangwar, Hiruni Herath, Sydnee Hopkins, Keira Porter, Corfield Seinor, Camellia Shwe and Angelina You who participated in the ASC Piano Competition at Peter Moyes Anglican Community School on Wednesday 20 June. The competition was challenging with more than 150 competitors from 10 ASC Schools. Our students showed courage and grit and performed superbly. A special congratulations goes to Hiruni Herath (Year 3) who was awarded 3rd place in her division. We are incredibly proud of all the students who performed and would like to thank them, their parents and tutor, Mrs Edwards, for all their hard work in preparing for the event.
IPSHA SPEAKERS' CHALLENGE
Congratulations to Year 6 student, Jonah Lee and Year 5 students Aarnav Negi and Jasper Palmer who competed in the IPSHA Speakers' Challenge on Wednesday 27 June at Scotch College. The boys performed admirably with their compelling speeches.
EMILY MCAULIFFE
We would also like to wish Year 11 student, Emily McAuliffe all the best as she is currently attending a Psychology course at Oxford University Summer School for the next month. We hope you have a memorable stay.
NETHUPULA HITIHAMU
Congratulations to Year 10 student, Nethupula Hitihamu who was awarded a Silver Award from the EducationPerfect Humanities Championships 2018. During the championships Nethu answered a mammoth 1,459 questions placing her in the top 5% of 20,000 competitors from around the world. Well done Nethu!
DYLAN BAILEY AND ELLA DODDS
We would like to wish Year 9 student, Dylan Bailey and Year 10 student, Ella Dodds all the best as they travel to Singapore to represent WA at a National Junior Athletics Championship. Best of luck to you both in the competition.
REESE HANCOCK
Congratulations to Year 6 student, Reese Hancock who came 4th in the 50m Freestyle and 4th in the 100m Freestyle race in a swimming competition run by South Lake Dolphins Swim Squad. Reese loved having the chance to compete against other people and was thrilled to have finished the race. Well done Reese!
