Production show nights!

What brilliant Production performances we had at the start of Term 4! A huge congratulations and thanks to our students for showing incredible resilience, dedication and commitment during rehearsals and on both nights! 

A huge thanks to the teachers for helping organise the students and ensuring they went on stage on time! A big thank you to leadership and their support in the organisation of Production and our ideas! 

A massive thanks to our wonderful Specialist Team: Margaret and Raul for being the fantastic runners and helping gather all House grades on time! Raema for her amazing preparation in creating the props and background screens for the Production with all the students! 

Last but not least, thanks to Carol for helping get this show together with her expertise in Production, stage directing, costume making, script writing, choreography, songs, and the list goes on! I've learned so much, and it has been a wonderful experience putting on my first Production show for Newlands PS!

I am so delighted and overjoyed at how much choreography each and one of the Houses in 4/5/6s learned and their performances on both nights. Their costumes and props looked brilliant and well-fitted with their scenes!

They learned a range of dance choreography across all types of music and songs:

• Modern African Dance
• Pop
• Country
• Scarf dance

I am so thrilled and excited at how much choreography each and one of the Houses in 4/5/6s learned and their performances on both nights. Their costumes and props looked incredible. They put a lot of work into creating these props during STEAM lessons!

I am so proud and impressed with how much choreography each of the Houses in 4/5/6s learned and their performances on both nights. Their costumes and props looked incredible. The background scenes on the screens were amazing and went brilliantly with each scene! Their props and background scenes were diligently created during STEAM lessons; what amazing work, well done to all 4/5/6s and Raema!

They learned a range of dance choreography across all types of music and songs:

• Salsa
• Hip hop
• Street jazz
• Percussion instruments
